Each year around 40% ofchildren globally receive a GSK vaccine and GSK is well-placed to lead in the growing adult immunizationmarket.

GSKs US vaccines business and Sales team is designed to support the uniqueneeds of the customer base in the given a local ecosystem commercial model there aremultiple customer-facing roles each with unique customers/call points but all dependent upon a highdegree of collaboration.


The Immunization Specialist or IS is a pivotal role responsible for engaginghealth care providers (HCPs) to drive uptake of GSK vaccines. The role of the Immunization Specialist isto educate HCPs on both disease state and the approved GSK vaccine solutions. The IS must possessstrong customer engagement skills along with a strong knowledge of GSK vaccines competitor vaccines and public health guidelines in order to represent GSK vaccines product and portfolio value proposition. The IS must also collaborate closely with first line leaders and other field teams including Account Management and Retail Channel managers.


Position Summary:

  • The Immunization Specialist will develop and maintain specialized expertise in vaccinetherapeutic areas products and markets.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of GSK vaccines competitive products and GSK promotionalstrategies and objectives in a way that meets customer needs.

  • Demonstrate high-level selling skills including account-based selling strategic thinking drivefor results and the ability to ask for the business.

  • Demonstrate the ability to provide value to each targeted account through proper blendingof science & service based upon each accounts individual needs.

  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively follow public health guidelines and use the vaccines sales process in a way thatengages customers and supports them in their effort to vaccinate or refer patients.

  • Demonstrate ability to drive vaccination uptake in both Private and Public (Vaccines for Children) sector providers

  • Collaborate with the broaderfield-based teams including Account Managers and Retail Channel Managers to help pull throughGSK vaccine business.

  • Effectively utilize and provide feedback on marketing content and digital tools to help optimize and evolve them


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree

  • Minimum 2 years business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience.

  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary.

  • Valid drivers license.

  • Must be able and willing to drive or operate a vehicle driving is an essential function of thisrole.

  • The selected candidate will be hired at the appropriate level based on experience

    • Immunization Specialist (grade 8): Minimum 2 years business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience

    • Senior Immunization Specialist (grade 7): 5 years business-to-business or pharmaceutical sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong track record of high-level performance and consistent achievements.

  • Demonstrated learning agility.

  • Minimum 2 years vaccines sales experience.

  • Nursing (MSN RN LPN) or other healthcare qualification and experience.

  • Demonstrated competency of science business acumen and customer engagement.

  • Strong account selling skills including business to business experience in a healthcarerelated market.

Location: This is a field-based position. The percentage of travel will be determined by customer location in relation to the geographic location of the successful candidate.

The US annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $119250 to $198750. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market the candidates skills experience education level and the market rate for the addition this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family) retirement benefits paid holidays vacation and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
