Reporting to the Sales Manager the Sales Support Specialist is responsible for answering incoming sales calls and providing appropriate disposition of calls. You will input quotes and orders into sales systems and relay pertinent order information to customers. This role works closely within the sales department to handle purchase orders provide exceptional service and perform basic data entry and filing as needed.
Responsibilities
- Order Management: Receive requests for quotations purchase orders change orders adjustments and cancellations from the sales team.
- Customer Support: Achieve and maintain rapport with customers to provide the best possible service.
- System Maintenance: Use various sales platforms to retrieve customer info stock status and order updates.
- Coordination: Communicate with customers sales representatives and intercompany personnel (Engineering Accounting Manufacturing Shipping and Tooling) regarding matters requiring tact and resourcefulness.
- Documentation: Maintain files of active orders and post activity such as change notices scheduling changes partial shipments and credit changes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical: General office and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization: Necessary skills to follow through on regular requests and select appropriate responses.
