COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client is a non-profit organization providing housing and support services to Youth/Young Adults facing homelessness.
Under the supervision of the Program Director the Resident Advisor will provide onsite supervision and support to residents as well as oversee the safety and security of the facility.
Essential Functions
- Facilitate all intakes for new residents including collecting data inspecting resident belongings and orienting residents to house expectations and guidelines.
- Provide Residents with a list of house rules.
- Liaise with the housekeeper to ensure all rooms are clean tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate residents needs.
- Conduct room inspections to ensure Residents are properly maintaining their area clean and neat manner per house rules.
- Ensure safety and security within the house at all times.
- Provide administrative support by answering the phone and greeting visitors and volunteers ensuring that they have a positive experience.
- Check in with Residents who are on-site to ensure Resident safety and welfare.
- Respond to resident complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with conflict resolution in coordination with Resident Case Manager always aiming to maintain a fair positive and supportive culture.
- Sensitive and responsive to the cultural differences among the agencys client population
- Actively participate in a quality improvement project
Competency Requirements
- Experience in non-profit settings monitoring residents or patients
- Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse preferred.
- Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Basic computer skills including data entry and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.
- A collaborative positive and mature approach.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Department of Justice/Fingerprint clearance (Live Scan)
- Tuberculosis clearance
- Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States
