Rate of Pay: 22.51- 30.09 per hour
Summary:
The Resident Engagement and Caseworker is a pivotal role within the Connect to Work team dedicated to creating a more equal Islington. The primary mission is to support residents in securing sustained quality paid employment through expert advice information and employer engagement. Operating under a person-centered approach the post holder manages a caseload of residentsoften those facing complex barriers to the labor marketensuring that paid employment remains the primary goal of every engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with Islington residents (18) through promotional activities and outreach focusing on those interested in specific employment sectors or those unable to find support elsewhere.
- Maintain a caseload of approximately 50 full-time equivalent (FTE) job-seeking residents providing medium-term support and maintaining contact after they have been placed in work.
- Act as a duty officer to provide advice and guidance to all incoming service inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records in the iWork customer management database and ensure compliance with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations.
- Contribute to the leaderships vision of an inclusive local economy by adopting creative solution-focused approaches to overcome employment obstacles.
Essentials:
- Proven experience working with individuals who face multiple and complex barriers to entering the labor market
- Experience supporting a diverse range of people including those requiring specialist advocacy or support.
- Experience working directly with employers to identify specific skills and requirements for various vacancies.
