ROLE SUMMARY
The Medical Analytics Insights Lead is a key member of the Medical Analytics Leadership Team and leads the Medical Insights team as part of the larger Medical Engagement and Impact organization (MEI). The Team Lead will set the strategy and focus on standing up and optimizing an end to end Insight platform that includes collection analysis distribution of insights to all key relevant stake holders at Pfizer. The Insights Lead will continuously search for opportunities to innovate the Insight platform so that insights can be processed in real time and inform and guide medical strategy. This role works closely across Global Medical Categories MEI Pfizer Digital Legal and Compliance and other cross functional stakeholders to lead strategies and initiatives to establish a best in class enterprise insight platform that can be leveraged across Pfizers therapeutic areas: Oncology Primary Care Specialty Care and Vaccines. The Insights Lead will also be responsible for the expansion of the platform to other business units including R&D and Commercial thereby making the InsightXplorer a true enterprise solution. The Team Lead is responsible for managing the members of the Medical Analytics Insight team prioritizing projects and ensuring on time execution and delivery of the enterprise Insight platform.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish a best in class insight platform that will collect process analyze insights in order to inform and guide strategy.
- Set the governance and optimize the process flow to maximize efficiency and ensure that insights are analyzed in real time to drive the greatest impact for the organization.
- Identify and prioritize key opportunities across the end-to-end Medical Insights process; work across MEI Digital Medical Systems and other key partners to develop and drive roadmap and plans for AI and analytics innovation
- Perform qualitative and quantitative assessments of internal and external solutions ensuring quality usability and business relevance of proposed solutions
- Define and communicate business requirements for technology solutions to enable and enhance Medical Insights workflows
- Act as central point of coordination for key communication change management and program management activities in alignment with overall Medical Insights roadmap
- Partner across complicated matrix to drive awareness collect requirements and ensure Insight platform meets the needs of Category teams PRD and other functional pillars and functions as an enterprise solution.
- Deliver insights that include but not limited to informing data and knowledge gaps effectiveness of medical affairs strategy opportunities for clinical trials HCP engagement strategies.
- Represent Pfizer externally with external industry experts to continually assess external trends technologies and opportunities for innovation and best practices
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
- Bachelors or higher degree in Life Sciences Biomedical Sciences Pharmaceutical Sciences Data Sciences Data Analytics or relevant fields of study; 12 years of experience with Bachelors Degree 10 years with Masters Degree and 7 years with PhD / other Doctorate Degree.
- Strong experience (5 years) in Medical Affairs Medical Analytics Medical Communications Medical Strategy Research and Development or other relevant function in the pharmaceutical industry
- Represent a function within a matrix organization through a strong track record of excellent presentation customer facing and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in communicating complex concepts and information to cross-functional teams and senior business executives.
- Direct external vendors and manage budgets timelines and quality of deliverables.
- Broad Medical affairs experience combined with and technology expertise in order to grasp scientific context and assimilate perspectives from stakeholders across Medical Digital and PRD.
- Strong track record of written and oral communication skills to develop and present scientific information to varied audiences and articulate messages succinctly.
- Understand detailed technical information and convey complex ideas to a variety of audience types and cultures.
- Quickly build rapport and credibility with key internal and key external stakeholders through strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills to track numerous tasks for multiple simultaneous projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Deep understanding of Medical Affairs relevant systems and platforms of record.
- Experience in critically evaluating enterprise solutions
- Experience leading large projects that span across all therapeutic areas and business pillars.
- Relevant therapeutic area expertise (primary care specialty care vaccines oncology)
- Experience in developing and driving GTM strategies across all stages of an asset life cycle
