Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to patients in a hospital setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs
- Manage complex medical conditions and provide life-saving interventions
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options
- Participate in rounds and contribute to case discussions
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and best practices
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in critical care medicine
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Associate level experience in critical care or related medical field
- Board certification in Internal Medicine Critical Care or relevant specialty
- Strong clinical skills and ability to make critical decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Current medical licensure in the state of Florida
Schedule: 7 on/7 off 12-hour in-house shift remainder on call
12-bed closed ICU
Required Procedures: Intubation RSI central lines arterial line bronchoscopy paracentesis thoracentesis transvenous pacers pulmonary artery catheters
Support Staff: APP CRNA surgeon and hospitalist
Preferred Experience: 2 years
EMR: Meditech
Board certification required
