As a Hospitalist you will play a crucial role in managing inpatient care working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality treatment and patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with specialists and primary care providers
- Manage admissions discharges and transitions of care
- Educate patients and their families on health management
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records
- Stay updated with the latest medical practices and guidelines
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Current board certification in Internal Medicine
- Active medical license in the state of New York
- Experience in a hospitalist role or similar inpatient setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to make critical decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Schedule: 7p-7a 7 on/7 off
No call requirement
Nightly Volume: 6-8 admits
Will cover admissions
Support Staff: Residents house officers and full subspecialty support onsite
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
