Job Summary
About the Role:Hoffmaster is committed to responsible growth operational excellence and safe high-quality manufacturing operations. Were looking for a Production Manager Converting to oversee the safety quality and productivity of our converting this role youll manage employee performance ensure compliance with policies and food safety programs optimize production schedules and drive continuous improvement. Your work will help ensure that our Converting operations run efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety and Youll Do:Manage safety performance of the department following Hoffmaster and OSHA policies and all department employees are trained to operate equipment safely and perform duties without product quality procedures are followed and all quality checks are performed accurately and on Plant Manager and Quality Manager of any out-of-spec product and actions taken; complete root cause/corrective actions for quality daily production schedules and employee crewing to meet productivity goals maximize efficiency and minimize labor production goals and targets for the department; manage changeovers and set-ups to meet these daily operations schedules to ensure coverage and production reporting for each shift; reconcile operator counts with warehouse counts for vacation requests based on scheduling department employees and develop training to close performance GMP policies and procedures; ensure successful GMP audit results feedback on employee performance recognizing achievements and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions as equipment ensure preventive maintenance checklists are completed and confirm equipment is in good working a positive work environment and act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement in safety quality and Were Looking For:Strong knowledge of manufacturing best practices and safe working with MS Office and ERP of Lean manufacturing oral and written communication problem-solving critical thinking and decision-making to build and maintain relationships internally and leadership skills and ability to motivate teams to fostering a safe work self-direction and motivation to improve and adaptability to unforeseen to prioritize tasks maintain accurate records and organize production developing and maintaining relationships with to communicate effectively with team members and company to research analyze information and make thoughtful recommendations to of 10 years of experience in a related education or related certifications ValuesSafety Teamwork Customer Focus Ownership Initiative CreativityAt Hoffmaster our Core Values and strong sense of Integrity guide how we work every day.
