Job Summary

Merchants Bank is seeking a Mortgage Closing Specialist. Initial training will be in Winona MN and then can be worked out of any Merchants Bank location in MN and WI with office space full-time position will be 40 hours per week generally working 8:00am 5:00pm Monday through Friday. The primary responsibilities are to prepare accurate initial and final closing documents and disclosures within regulatory requirements and balance and disburse funds for mortgage loan file closings. Disclosure Desk Technician provides timely initial revised and final closing disclosures to borrowers and settlement agents. Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and weather very high stress levels due to last minute changes. Experience with Microsoft Excel or some other accounting application and moderate mathematical ability. Should have amiable personality and be a team player. Confidentiality is a must. Position may require overtime during periods of high volume. Relationships: Responsible to the Mortgage Processing/Closing Manager for clarification of positions responsibilities authority and for proper interpretation. Position will have high degree of telephone contact with internal and external customers/contacts. Must have ability to work effectively and professionally in team environment.
