The Role

The School of Skilled Trades Grande Prairie is seeking Pipe Trades (Plumbing Steamfitter-Pipefitter Gasfitter) Instructors for the Apprenticeship program. These are full-time sessional tenure track appointments starting August 15 2026 to August 14 2027.



Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Journeyperson/Red Seal certification in the related trade with a preferred minimum of five years experience as a Journeyperson. Necessary skills and attributes to be successful in this role include:

  • proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook;
  • strong organizational and multi-tasking skills;
  • an entrepreneurial spirit specifically one who is willing to take a risk to create opportunities;
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • ability to build strong relationships across the organization; and
  • a high level of integrity professionalism and accountability.
