The City of Mission Parks Recreation & Culture Department is seeking qualified and enthusiastic fitness instructors to teach a variety of land fitness classes. The successful candidates will be responsible for creating a safe and supportive environment by demonstrating proper form techniques and modifications while providing clear and precise instruction. Applicants must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate must hold a recognized fitness certification such as Group Fitness Instructor registration with BCRPA or CFES or an equivalent combination of training and addition current Standard First Aid CPR-C and AED certifications are required.
Additional Information :
This position is scheduled for Mondays from 6:006:45 a.m. with additional sub opportunities available on various days and times.
Flexible availability is required for this position as classes may be scheduled during mornings afternoons evenings and weekends.
The hourly rate of pay for this position is $31/hour plus 4% vacation pay.
This position will be included in the CUPE bargaining unit once agreement on the terms & conditions of employment are finalized
