Job Summary
The New Orleans LA office of Modjeski and Masters Inc. is seeking Entry Level Structural Bridge Design Engineers
What Were Looking For
- At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University
- Entry Level (0-4 years related Bridge Design Experience)
- Ideal candidates will have a valid EI certification or in the process of obtaining.
What Youll Do
- Review and check standard structural design calculations.
- Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
- Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
- Provide information for design reports.
- Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
- Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
- Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
- Review and check drawings.
- Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS RISA-3D LEAP Bridge AutoCAD MicroStationetc.
- Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications including: AASHTO AREMA AISC ACI etc.

As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team youll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. Youll have opportunities to interact directly with clients become a valued partner on a variety of high-impact projects and apply fresh insights at every stage of a bridges life cycle.
