MalaceHR is seeking a driven and analytical Reliability Engineer to support operations and maintenance programs across commercial industrial and critical facilities. This role focuses on improving asset performance reducing downtime and enhancing long-term reliability through data-driven maintenance strategies.
The Reliability Engineer will develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations and leverage predictive maintenance technologies to optimize equipment life cycles. This position requires strong technical expertise independent decision-making and the ability to translate data into actionable improvements that increase operational efficiency and asset reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed work packages for planned maintenance activities including safety requirements labor planning and cost estimates.
Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs using Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.
Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) investigations and conduct equipment condition assessments.
Monitor and interpret predictive maintenance data including vibration analysis oil analysis and thermography.
Extract analyze and interpret asset data from CMMS and connected systems to improve maintenance strategies.
Maintain accurate records performance metrics and KPIs within CMMS platforms.
Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to develop risk mitigation strategies for critical assets.
Review work order history and technician feedback to continuously improve planning and reliability efforts.
Support asset lifecycle management and long-term capital planning initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
12 years of experience with Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
Strong knowledge of mechanical electrical plumbing and fire suppression systems.
Experience working in commercial critical manufacturing or distribution facilities.
Proficiency with CMMS software systems.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Ability to read interpret and apply technical manuals schematics and reference materials.
Preferred Qualifications
Formal maintenance planning and scheduling training.
Experience working in critical or regulated environments (e.g. data centers laboratories manufacturing facilities).
Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) certification.
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
Level I certifications in thermography vibration analysis or ultrasound.
Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Knowledge of asset management strategies and maintenance data analytics.
