Southside Market and Barbeque is currently accepting applications for aBBQMeat Cutterwith the ability to work flexible hours including weekends. This position is responsible for slicing all of Southsides barbeque proteins based on customer requests. This role works directly with customers our cashiers and customer service team members to ensure that customer orders are filled accurately and the customer receives the best possible barbeque experience.
MEAT CUTTER ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicates clearly with customers/staff to ensure accuracy of bbq orders
- Utilizes safe and efficient knife skills to cut/package smoked meats to order
- Uses restaurant equipment to accurately weigh meats to exact specifications
- Addresses customer questions/ inquiries. Assist customers with decision making by recommending products to try based on customer input
- Ensures guest satisfaction through customer service and hospitality
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment
Meat Cutter Qualifications:
- 1 year prior knife skills and food handling experience required
- Texas Food Handler Certificate required. (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to read write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
- Prior BBQ experience highly preferred.
- Must be 18 years old
