Key responsibilities
- Event setup:Arranging tables chairs linens and silverware according to event plans and specifications.
- Service:Delivering and serving food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Guest assistance:Responding to guest questions complaints and requests and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the event.
- Room maintenance:Cleaning and clearing tables during and after service and preparing the room for the next event.
- Teamwork:Coordinating with other banquet staff such as chefs and bartenders and assisting fellow team members as needed.
- Side work:Completing various tasks to prepare for events such as folding napkins and polishing silverware.
Qualifications and skills
- Customer service:Excellent communication and a professional courteous attitude.
- Physical ability:Ability to stand for long periods lift heavy objects (often up to 40 pounds) and bend squat and push repeatedly.
- Attention to detail:Ensuring all setup and service details meet high standards.
- Flexibility:Availability to work evenings weekends holidays and special events as needed.
- Experience:Previous experience in a banquet or restaurant setting is often preferred but may not be required
