Job Summary
As a Full-Time Banquet Cook youll play a vital role in preparing meals for everything from weddings and conferences to corporate luncheons and social events. Youll work with a wide variety of menu items and preparation techniquessoups salads proteins vegetables and beautifully arranged cold traysand be expected to maintain consistent quality taste and appearance for every plate that leaves the kitchen.
What Youll Be Doing:
Prepare high-volume banquet meals while maintaining exceptional culinary standards
Cook a variety of menu items including hot and cold dishes: soups salads proteins vegetables sauces and garnishes
Assemble visually appealing cold display trays for events and buffets
Follow banquet event orders (BEOs) and chef instructions to ensure food is prepared accurately and on time
Maintain cleanliness organization and proper food safety and sanitation practices in all prep and cooking areas
Collaborate with fellow team members to meet event deadlines and execute smooth service
Adapt to changing schedules and priorities depending on business levels and event demands
What Were Looking For:
Experience in high-volume food preparation preferably in a banquet or catering environment
Solid knowledge of food safety prep techniques and proper kitchen equipment use
Strong attention to detail and consistency in flavor presentation and portioning
Ability to stay focused and efficient in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Flexibility with schedulingshifts generally start around 9:00am but may vary based on event needs (days nights weekends holidays)
Positive attitude professionalism and reliability
