Technician Responsibilities:
- Completeservice and repair assignments efficiently safely and correctly to pass quality inspections.
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate directly with service advisers regarding the status of the repair work.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques.
- Examines damaged vehicle and efficiently planrepair process.
- Workand communicatewith others on vehicle repair status.
- Performquality repairs while keeping on-time status in mind.
- Makedecisions on repair vs. replace considering safety cost and cycle time.
- Removeupholstery accessories electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment and trim to gain access to vehicle and fenders.
- Participatein all required safety meetings.
- File grind and sandrepaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
- Directthe work of an apprentice in the performance of tasks when needed i.e. unusual problems or questions and explainprocedures to assistant.
QualificationsTechnician Qualifications:
- Team oriented flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment.
- Basic Heavy and Medium Duty Truck knowledge.
- Maintainsufficient personally owned tools.
- Ability to work independently.
- Detail oriented and quality driven.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check physical exam and drug screen.
Experience in one or all of the following areas:
- 2 Year Truck/Auto Body Experience
- Tech School Certification
- Vo-Tech Graduate
