We are a Christian faith-based nursery dedicated to providing a loving safe and engaging environment for children ages 0 to 6. Our mission is to plant the seeds of faith early through nurturing care simple learning activities and Biblical principles.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a reliable warm-hearted Nursery Teacher to join our team! If you have a background in Early Childhood Education and a passion for caring for young children in a faith-filled environment we would love to meet you. The ideal candidate is comfortable leading simple Bible-based activities and can commit consistently to Sundays and Thursdays 4 hours per day.
Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Provide loving age-appropriate care for children ages 0 to 6
- Lead simple faith-based activities songs and Bible lessons
- Maintain a safe clean and organized nursery environment
- Change diapers assist with toileting and manage classroom transitions
- Engage with children through play stories and music
- Follow all health safety and sanitation procedures
- Communicate kindly and professionally with parents and staff
- Arrive on time and be consistently present for assigned days
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in early childhood care preschool or church nursery
- Background in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
- Strong understanding of child development and classroom safety
- Comfortable incorporating Christian teachings and faith-based values
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
- Dependable nurturing and enthusiastic about working with children
Schedule:
- Sundays: 7:45 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
- Thursdays: 8:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m.
- 4 hours per day (8 hours per week total)
- Additional hours available if desired (up to 28 hours per week)
