Job Summary

Medivet PeterboroughWellandRoad is a small animal multivet practice currently recruiting for a Head Veterinary Nurse!

The practice offers high output digital x-ray together with high quality ultrasound including doppler and cardiology software endoscopy and a dental suite including dental x-ray. The Team atWellandRoad havea very strongclient relationship receiving a consistently high net promoter score.

This role is covering 40 hours per week over 5 days between 8:30am-7pm and 1 in 6 Saturdays 8:30am-2:30pm.

It would be great if you had a clinical coaching background or interested in carrying this out to support students through their training.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Lead manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence implementing andcomplying withall regulatory practice and operational standards.
  • Inspire your team sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
  • Engagecoachand develop your team.
  • Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Able to confidently lead a clinical team.
  • Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
