DescriptionJob Purpose:
Are you enthusiastic about supporting elders in our community SCIHP is looking for a dedicated and caring Kitchen Aide/Senior Site Transporter to join our Senior Nutrition Program. Under the guidance of the Title VI Manager you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our elders ensuring they feel valued and cared for. You will also help keep our site clean and welcoming and provide safe friendly transportation for our elders using a SCIHP vehicle.
QualificationsPosition Requirements
- Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required; prior commercial kitchen experience preferred.
- Certifications: California Food Handler Card (within 30 days) and CPR (within 90 days).
- Compliance: Must pass pre-employment drug screen physical background check and provide proof of immunization record and provide a copy of current DMV printout.
- Skills & Duties:
- Prepare package and serve meals while maintaining strict sanitation standards.
- Wash clean and organize kitchen areas; manage inventory and restock supplies.
- Strong time management and ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
- Driver Responsibilities:
- Maintain a valid CA Drivers License and clean DMV record.
- Follow all traffic laws and agency safety protocols.
- Ensure safe transport of elders assist with boarding and exiting vehicles and report any incidents immediately.
- Professionalism: Communicate effectively respect confidentiality and follow all state and county food safety regulations.
- Drug -Free Workplace: This is a zero-tolerance environment for drugs and alcohol. Our organization adheres to Federal regulations which prohibit any use.
Special Qualifications: Must be sensitive to the needs of the Native American Community which includes their culture traditions and background.
