Civil Bridge Design Engineer (52399)

Poughkeepsie NY office of Modjeski and Masters is seeking Civil Bridge Design Engineers with at least 4 years of related bridge design experience

What Were Looking For

• At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from anABET accredited College or University
• Ideal Candidates will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license
• Minimum of 4 years related Bridge Design experience

What Youll Do

• Review and check standard structural design calculations.
• Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
• Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
• Provide information for design reports.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned including field inspections and construction serviceassignments.
• Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
• Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
• Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
• Review and check drawings.
• Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS RISA-3D LEAP Bridge AutoCAD MicroStationetc.
• Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications including: AASHTO AREMA AISC ACI etc.
