WORK SCHEDULE
Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
JOB SUMMARY
- Manage the financial aid process for new students (first-year and transfers) building trust and guiding them toward enrollment.
- Provide clear personalized financial aid guidance to students and families explaining policies and tailoring institutional awards to individual needs.
- Collect and review financial data to determine eligibility for federal state and institutional aid.
- Negotiate institutional aid within university guidelines and finalize agreements.
- Communicate federal and state aid rules and limits with student and family to ensure accurate financial planning.
- Lead continuous improvement to students and families for filing aid applications understanding awards billing and payment plans
- Host financial aid workshops and recruiting events
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Use applicant tracking systems effectively.
- Communicate confidently in person and by phone.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Show leadership and persuasive communication abilities.
- Provide excellent customer service and analyze student needs.
- Deliver organized presentations and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Work independently in a structured fast-paced setting
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships
- Ability to operate office equipment
- Additional duties as assigned
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. - Bachelors Degree
- At least two years of experience in recruitment admissions financial aid or sales.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast-paced work environment
- Typing and spelling competency
- Experience with various computer software applications
- Data entry experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education communications or admissions
- Experience in Recruit CRM
- Experience in SEO
Supervision Received:
Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction.
Supervision Exercised:
May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
