Extended School Year Speech Therapist
Description-Program provides support for speech and language specific goals for students K-12. PA Certification as a School Speech and Language Pathologist (PK-12) required. The program runs June 29-July 30 every Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30AM-12:00PM for students and 8:15AM-12:15PM for staff. Compensation will be TBD per the PGEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Duties Include:
- Provide direct speech and language services to students during the course of the ESY program per individual student IEP.
- Complete ongoing weekly progress monitoring data toward IEP goals
- Communicate ongoing with families regarding speech activities and students progress
- Support staff in the implementation and use of any AAC for students.
- Implement student positive behavior support plans.
- Complete end of ESY report of maintenance sheets that will be shared with families and teachers for the coming school year.
- Support the adaptive/functional needs of students.
- Participate in any trainings to support student needs
Program Information:
Set-up days and hours: 6 hours prior to ESY start date
Close-up days and hours: 6 hours post ESY end date
