Epidemiologist III (49833)

Position Objective: Lead and execute advanced epidemiologic analyses and data-driven products for the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC) Coronavirus and Other Respiratory Viruses Division (CORVD) supporting investigations dashboards publications and rapid-turn decision support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform and guide complex analytic work (multivariate models study design support power calculations).
• Develop analytic datasets documentation and repeatable pipelines/code.
• Provide quality assurance guidance to ensure data integrity and consistency.
• Produce dashboards/visualizations and briefing materials for leadership.
• Support manuscripts abstracts presentations and clearance-ready deliverables.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3 to 10 years of demonstrated experience performing advanced epidemiologic/statistical analyses
• Bachelors degree in public health or related field
• Proficiency in SAS and/or R for analysis and reporting
• Strong ability to translate analysis into clear written products and briefings
• Ability to work cross-functionally with CDC stakeholders; maintain confidentiality and data security
• Ability to obtain/maintain Public Trust suitability and comply with CDC policies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in public health or related field
• Experience with clinical data surveillance platforms and data modernization alignment
• Experience with Power BI/Tableau and developing dashboards for program use
• Experience facilitating rapid turnaround for complex documents and clearance workflows
