- Language Translation - Bi-cultural Spanish: $1.00 per hour
- Bimodal Bilingualism - ASL Sign Language: $1.00 per hour

Overview:
The role provides individualized self-care support behavior training and facilitation of rehabilitative group and one-on-one services aligned with each clients treatment plan and therapeutic goals. Responsibilities include leading structured therapeutic recreational and daily living activities; engaging clients to reinforce positive behaviors; and assessing safety behavior and risk factors. The position requires accurate observation documentation and reporting of client progress using DAP formats while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA state county and agency regulations. Additional duties include timely communication documentation audits responsiveness to feedback and completion of assigned tasks to support overall program and client care goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate group and individual rehabilitative activities that align with each clients individualized treatment plan and therapeutic goals.
- Ensure all services provided are in full compliance with State and County Mental Health regulations and guidelines.
- Deliver only authorized services unless explicitly directed by the Clinical Director to provide otherwise.
- Engage clients in meaningful conversation to reinforce positive behaviors and encourage social interaction.
- Participate in mealtime with clients as a behavioral and rehabilitative role model in accordance with applicable care plans.
- Accompany clients on shopping trips and provide guidance on making appropriate personal purchases aligned with their rehabilitative or behavioral goals.
- Lead structured therapeutic and recreational activities including physical exercise arts and crafts and games to support client development and well-being.
- Assess client behavior and risk factors to ensure safety and prevent harm to clients or others.
- Observe and accurately document client behavior and progress to support clinical assessment and treatment planning.
- Complete client documentation using the DAP (Data Assessment Plan) format in both Progress Notes and Daily Service Logs.
Conditions of Employment:
- May work across all agency programs as needed.
- Occasional flexible work schedule required to meet individual client needs.
- Must possess a valid CA Drivers License and have 2 years of driving experience current auto insurance and a clean DMV printout (no more than 3 points).
- Must pass a clear background check with DOJ CACI FBI CCL.
- CPR and First Aid Certified.
- TB Exam and Physical at the time of employment.
Driving Requirement:
- Driving is a required function of this position. Employees must use a personal vehicle that meet all agency requirements including maintaining liability insurance that meets or exceeds state requirements.
- Employees are responsible for ensuring the timely renewal of their vehicle insurance policies and providing updated documentation to the agency to remain in good standing and compliant with position requirements.
Training Provided:
- Comprehensive onboarding including CPR/First Aid Crisis Communication/Pro-ACT Trauma-Informed Care Motivational Interviewing and Collaborative Problem Solving.
