International Trade Attorney - Income Principal Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a senior-level attorney with at least seven years of experience in international trade law and a portable book of business to join a highly regarded and collaborative law firm with a strong national presence. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with sophisticated business clients on complex international trade and customs matters across a broad range of industries.

In this position you will play a key role in advising clients on navigating the evolving landscape of global trade regulations customs compliance and trade agreements. You will collaborate regularly with experienced attorneys across multiple practice areas and offices allowing you to deliver integrated and strategic legal solutions while continuing to grow your own practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and counsel clients on customs and import control matters including tariff classification valuation transfer pricing and customs audits
  • Provide guidance on forced labor compliance and related regulatory requirements
  • Handle matters involving customs enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders
  • Support clients engaged in global trade across a variety of industry sectors
  • Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver comprehensive legal solutions
  • Manage multiple client matters simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy responsiveness and professionalism

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have:
  • A portable book of business
  • 7 years of experience in customs and import control matters including tariff classification valuation transfer pricing audits forced labor compliance and enforcement of antidumping and countervailing duty orders
  • A JD from an ABA-accredited law school and an active license to practice law
  • Strong academic credentials with excellent analytical and legal writing skills
  • A client-focused mindset with exceptional communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team
  • Proven ability to manage significant responsibilities and multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong organizational skills attention to detail and professionalism
