About the Opportunity

Healthcare Private acute-care hospital network in the tertiary pediatrics and neonatal care sector based in Dehradun Uttarakhand. We are hiring an on-site night-shift Consultant Pediatrician to lead overnight clinical coverage for emergency inpatient and neonatal care. The position offers accommodation in Dehradun and a competitive compensation band.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care for pediatric inpatients and emergency presentations during night shifts (21:0009:00) including assessment diagnosis treatment and escalation as needed.
• Lead pediatric emergency resuscitation and stabilization including neonatal resuscitation and initial critical-care interventions before transfer or escalation to PICU/NICU.
• Manage admissions overnight rounds and timely handovers to day teams with clear documentation in the medical record.
• Coordinate with nursing respiratory therapy and referral teams for ventilation support imaging and specialist consults during night hours.
• Maintain clinical governance standards: follow protocols participate in incident reporting and implement evidence-based pediatric care pathways.
• Support training and mentoring of junior doctors and residents on night-shift procedures emergency protocols and safe handover practices.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• MD (Pediatrics) or DCH (Diploma in Child Health).
• Registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or relevant State Medical Council.
• Proven clinical experience managing pediatric emergencies inpatient care and neonatal resuscitation during night shifts.
• Ability to perform and lead pediatric resuscitation stabilization and initial critical-care interventions.
• Willingness to work fixed 12-hour night shifts (21:0009:00) and reside in provided accommodation (Dehradun).
• Strong documentation handover discipline and adherence to clinical protocols.

Preferred

• Experience working in NICU/PICU settings or managing ventilated pediatric patients overnight.
• Certifications such as PALS NRP or equivalent advanced life-support certifications.
• Prior night-duty consultant experience in a high-volume acute-care hospital.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation band: INR 200000 INR 250000 (salary band).
