As a School Nurse (LPN/RN) at Rivermont Schools you will support student health and wellness by providing compassionate high-quality care throughout the school day. Youll assist with medication administration first aid and health monitoring under the direction of a Certified School Nurse or physician. Your calm caring presence will help ensure students can focus on learning in a safe supportive environment.
What Youll Need
Current Virginia license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Minimum of two years of experience providing nursing services to children
Knowledge of medical disorders treatment procedures medication administration and infection control
Understanding of federal state and local regulations related to school health services
Strong communication documentation interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to collaborate with students families staff and multidisciplinary team members
Valid Virginia drivers license
What Youll Do
Provide basic nursing care first aid and health support to students during the school day
Administer medications and document care according to physician orders and school policies
Monitor students with chronic conditions and report changes in health status to the Certified School Nurse
Support staff with student health needs and communicate effectively with families when appropriate
Assist with maintaining a clean safe and compliant health office environment
