Leo is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Project Kuipers Payload Processing Facility (PPF) is seeking an experienced logistics professional to assist with every day activities listed below in both Florida as well as in French Guiana. This role is expected to travel up to 25% of the time internationally. This position is for 2nd shift. Successful candidates must also be able to pass the federal security checks to receive an access badge to Kennedy Space Center.
Key job responsibilities
-Write review and provide feedback on team-related SOPs related to warehousing and inventory activities at the PPF
-Receive Kuiper managed and supplier shipments
-Use proprietary software and ERP systems to virtually receive and manage material
- Execute functional requirements of global trade and transportation management software requirements
- Provide guidance and expertise in logistics related discussions
-Accurately track and account for all inventory located at the PPF warehouse to include cycle counts
-Efficiently deliver material to PPF stakeholders both physically and virtually
-Coordinate trailer or container movements within the PPF Yard
-Receive schedule and coordinate inbound deliveries
-Meet operational metrics related to warehouse receiving and inventory activities
-Effectively communicate high priority matters with Transportation leadership
-Shift schedule will vary depending on production/launch schedules
-Operate equipment including: forklifts pallet jacks electric pallet jacks and hand cart
-Role requires up to 25% travel

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of supply chain inventory management or project management experience or Bachelors degree
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays
- Can carry/lift up to 50 lbs stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours and frequently push pull squat bend and reach
- Ability to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks
- Valid Drivers license and able to satisfy Amazon driver eligibility criteria
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Passport
- Ability and willingness to comply with the Government of French Guiana which mandates that travelers receive vaccinations for yellow fever
- 3 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience or Bachelors degree in logistics business or related field.
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines or experience with end-to-end project management
- Can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience in team leadership
- Experience with enterprise systems including SAP Oracle and custom applications
- Experience working proactively and independently meeting deadlines and delivering on projects and tasks
- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent
- Knowledge of supply chain management concepts - forecasting planning sourcing optimization and logistics or equivalent
- Previous dangerous goods training/knowledge

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $61100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $100800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
