Overview:
The Maintenance Technician works closely with the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations to ensure that assigned facilities grounds and equipment are physically maintained. They collaboratively assess facility needs and develops a prioritized maintenance plan.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to project management contractor co-coordination assisting with management of facilities responding to building emergencies preventative maintenance planning responding to and resolving Program Manager concerns community relations and physical inspections to ensure required compliance monitoring and reporting.
Schedule: Full time 37.5 hours per week. Monday Friday
Responsibilities:
- General maintenance/repairs
- Painting
- Light carpentry (assembly of office furniture hanging shelves etc)
- Minor electrical work
- Repair/replacement of fixtures and equipment.
- Yard and/or grounds maintenance
- Report on items concerning health and safety issues with a plan of action for correction.
- Perform and document interior and exterior physical inspections
- Supervise the scheduling tracking and maintenance of annual fire clearances fire alarm tests and fire sprinkler inspections for all properties.
- Ensure that general safety standards and OSHA regulations are followed.
- Ensure that all equipment and tools are in clean and safe working order.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Degree OR GED OR equivalent
- Experience in facilities maintenance
- A valid drivers license
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of carpentry and electrical functions.
Pay Rate: $20- $22 per hour
*All Offers may be contingent on a Background check and Driving record & Automobile insurance that meets agency insurance carrier requirements.
