Our client is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This position is located in a skilled nursing facility in Tampa FL

Responsibilities Of Physical Therapy Assistant
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and relieve pain.- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of various treatment modalities to support patient care.- Provide support in areas such as occupational health acute care orthopedics geriatrics and trigger point therapy.
- Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to Physical Therapist
- Contributes objective data to Physical Therapists as allowed by scope of practice
- Provide Physical Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care
- Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department IDT and facility success
Requirements of a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Minimum of Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
- A current Florida PTA License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be computer/tech savy

Expected hours: 40 per week
Flexible schedule
Schedule:
- 5x8
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
License/Certification:
- Physical Therapy Assistant license in the State of Floridsa (Required)
- CPR Certification (Required)
Job Type: Full-time

- CPR Certification (Preferred)
