Job Summary
The North Country Supervisory Union is seeking a dynamic and passionate individual committed to the development of character competence creativity and community in their role as Associate Director for Special Services. The Associate Director of Special Services assists the Director of Special Services in providing leadership and oversight for Special Education programs and related services in conformance to district state and federal objectives and ensures all students with disabilities have access to programming reasonably calculated to provide educational benefit and a Free Appropriate candidate hired for this position will work closely with central office staff NCSU Leadership Team school boards and local agencies and service providers. SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:1. Must have or be eligible for appropriate Vermont licensure (Director of Special Education Endorsement).2. Masters degree in educational administration special education or equivalent.3. Minimum three years experience in public education two years of which must have been spent in successful classroom teaching.4. Demonstrated understanding of special education law and regulations.5. Proficient use of digital tools and applications to assist in management and advance learning.6. Demonstrated success in administrative planning program development and systems analysis.7. Excellent abilities with collaboration communication and conflict resolution.8. Additions or alternatives to above qualifications as the NCSU Board may find appropriate and and benefits are regionally competitive. This position is a full year 260-day contract. Salary range of $90000 to $105000 based on previous experience.
