Oakdale Elementary School Dedham Public Schools

Dedham Public Schools seeks an experienced student-centered Elementary School Principal to serve as the instructional operational and cultural leader of Oakdale Elementary School. The Principal is responsible for ensuring a safe inclusive and academically rigorous learning environment that promotes student achievement and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Provide instructional leadership aligned with district curriculum state standards and best practices
Supervise evaluate coach and support teachers and staff using established educator evaluation systems
Use multiple sources of student data to guide instructional decisions school improvement planning and targeted interventions
Lead and support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) addressing academic social-emotional and behavioral needs
Foster a positive inclusive school culture that promotes belonging equity and high expectations
Recruit hire develop and retain high-quality staff; address personnel matters in accordance with district policies and collective bargaining agreements
Partner collaboratively with families PTOs and community stakeholders through clear and consistent communication
Oversee daily school operations including scheduling supervision safety procedures crisis response and compliance with district state and federal requirements
Manage the school budget and resources responsibly and equitably
Ensure equitable access to learning and support services for all students including students with disabilities English learners and students from diverse backgrounds

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience
Massachusetts Elementary School Principal license required
Masters Degree required
Demonstrated effective school leadership experience
Strong knowledge of curriculum instruction assessment MTSS and professional learning
