Job Description
Our Dallas office is seeking an experiencedElectrical Engineerwith seven to twelve years of consulting engineering experience who is passionate about delivering innovative design solutions and excited to grow with a collaborative multidisciplinary this role you will contribute to a variety of challenging projects support our electrical engineering group and partner with other disciplines across the firm.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (required)
- Knowledge of local codes and standards (preferred)
- Experience with local contractors architects and construction practices (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of electrical and lighting system design for diverse building types
- Experience with medium-voltage distribution generation and protection systems (preferred)
- Must have SKM ETAP or similar electrical modeling software experience.
- The focus of the experience must be in the power industry associated with electrical engineering and design of Industrial higher education healthcare and/or commercial projects.
- Must be familiar with electrical/energy codes and standards (NEC IEEE NESC IEEE IESNA IECC etc.)
- Experience with lighting design (preferred)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Revit Bluebeam and related design software (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on interdisciplinary teams
- Desire and capability to lead projects and coordinate across multiple disciplines
- Willingness to travel for occasional site visits
- Must be able to work in the office four(4) days a week.
Additional Expectations:
- Prepare electrical and lighting plans specifications and technical reports
- Support business development and marketing initiatives as needed
- Contribute to team mentorship knowledge sharing and firm-wide growth
