Description of Work

This position is responsible for the daily management of human resource activities supporting the Division of Water Resources. It involves collaborating with division management and staff to ensure Human Resource policies and procedures comply with Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and Office of State Human Resources (OSHR) guidelines. Key duties include advising employees on HR matters providing guidance on policies answering questions related HR policies either directly or through research and actively participating in and managing recruiting efforts to attract and hire qualified candidates.



Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with management for posting vacant positions via Workday sceen applications to identify qualified applicants.
* Primary contact for classification issues create/manage personnel actions administration of all benefit programs including Workers Compensation and technical support of the performance management system.
* Prepare and submit hiring/salary packages for approval.
* Update and maintain the HRIS/Employee Database process I-9(s) conduct E-verify verifications and other required employment documentation.
* Onboard new employees conduct new hire and benefit orientations.
* Provide administration of FMLA STD and LTD programs.

This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workdays. Minimum Education and Experience

Associates degree typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
