The Production team is looking for a versatile aerospace manufacturing leader tasked withoverseeing the production of our low earth orbit satellites. This position will be a keyleadership role in the manufacturing and assembly process for our products. They will beresponsible for executing the design for manufacturability and continue improvement todelivery space-grade avionics structures and propulsion hardware at high rate and low cost. Personnel safety and product reliability are will always be top of mind for this candidate.

The role will serve as the advocate of the team and the technical subject matter expert forthe greater production and supply chain organization to ensure that they have theresources they need to succeed. The candidate will develop and sustain a vision for growthand development of both the members of the team and the capabilities of themanufacturing and supply chain department.

motivation to support their team.

This position requires the ability to work second shift (3:30pm-1:00am).

This positions internal job code is Manufacturing Manager. Our team is currently hiring for a level K.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of support for the manufacturing technician team

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to each member of the team via both frequent 1:1s and formal performance review periods

  • Establish career development plans and foster individual growth to unlock each members maximum potential and facilitate their desired career trajectory

  • Advocate for the team and cultivate an environment where they can be successful

  • Manage communication within the team by providing context/rationale for higher level decisions

  • Develop cross-training initiatives staffing plans and a robust recruiting pipeline to support the growing needs of the business

  • Establish and increase the efficiency of business processes to maximize output limit burden and enable products to rapidly transition from engineering development to high rate production

  • Leverage cross-functional relationships to help identify improvement opportunities align on priorities and execute initiatives to reduce lead time labor hours etc

  • Leverage data to establish monitor and improve manufacturing metrics enveloping safety quality delivery and cost

  • Enable manufacturing and supply chain autonomy by challenging requirements simplifying work processes and automating actions

  • Partner with peer engineering teams to implement design changes in response to manufacturing and supply chain issues customer challenges new vehicle architectures and departmental standardization initiatives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 1 years of experience leading technician teams

  • Experience working with various manufacturing execution systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in the aerospace industry

  • Proficiency with PC Applications especially Excel

  • Excellent written and Verbal Communications

  • Associates degree (or equivalent) in business

  • Demonstrated ability to aggregate visualize and analyze data to make informed decisions (i.e. SQL Excel PowerBI etc.)

  • Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing electromechanical assembly propulsion productionmechanisms fabrication or structures build

  • Demonstrated ability to scale manufacturing rate capability
