About the Team:
The Digital and Campus Services (DCS) group is focused on delivering high-quality customer engagement with a service excellence and innovation mindset. Within DCS the Enabling Technology team modernises technology platforms and infrastructure to ensure VU is a thriving place to work and study. This team leads enterprise application services integration and digital enablement projects that support VUs strategic goals and enhance the customer experience.
About the Role:
As Senior Manager Enterprise Applications you will provide leadership strategic direction and technical expertise for enterprise application services. You will manage 3 direct reports covering a team of approximately 25 specialists oversee large-scale business-critical applications and drive integration across VUs technology landscape. This role offers the opportunity to influence digital transformation embed innovative practices and deliver impactful solutions tailored to customer needs
Position Key Duties
- Provide strategic leadership and management of the Enterprise Applications team.
- Oversee maintenance support and agile delivery of applications to meet SLAs.
- Lead integration functions across application and infrastructure landscapes.
- Develop business cases and cost-benefit analyses for IT initiatives.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships in line with procurement policies.
- Drive automation optimisation and rationalisation to reduce technical debt.
- Create and execute operational plans aligned with VUs Digital Master Plan.
- Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S principles and University policies
Salary: Senior Staff $190000 - $200000 base Plus Super
Employment Type: Full Time Ongoing

About You:
- Extensive leadership experience in enterprise application services within large complex environments.
- Strong strategic and customer focus - proven ability to build Centres of Excellence or shared services is critical for success in this role.
- Expertise in agile delivery and ITIL-based practices with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Postgraduate qualification in IT management or related field (desirable).
The University is a Child Safe willbe requiredto hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior tocommencingemployment.
