Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Property Administrator to support day-to-day operations across a residential portfolio based out of their offices in Bedford NS. This role is ideal for an experienced administrative or property management professional with strong organizational skills a customer-focused approach and a working knowledge of the Nova Scotia Residential Tenancies Act.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Coordinate residential leasing activities including posting listings scheduling and conducting showings screening applicants facilitating the application process collecting required documentation and preparing lease agreements
- Administer leases for a portfolio of 100 residential units including maintaining tenant files managing correspondence and issuing rental increase notices
- Conduct and document move-in/move-out inspections and complete quarterly property inspection reports
- Schedule and oversee maintenance repairs landscaping snow removal and other trade services
- Manage tenant relations professionally including rent collection enforcement of late payment policies and preparation for tenancy hearings
- Prepare periodic operational reports including turnover and bi-weekly reporting
- Assist with documentation and preparation for Residential Tenancy Board hearings
- Perform other related administrative and operational duties as required
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Previous experience in property management real estate administration or a related field
- Working knowledge of the Nova Scotia Residential Tenancies Act and Regulations is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Experience with Yardi or similar property management software is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and follow-through
- Ability to multitask effectively and manage competing priorities
- Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required
