Parts Counter Specialist Truck Manufacturing

OSW Equipment & Repair LLC a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation is the largest truck body and trailer manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest. As an OSW Parts Counter Specialist you responsible for the sale of truck parts and accessories by researching customer requirements controlling parts inventory processing invoices and payment and managing return cores and warranty parts. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls to the parts department and ensure a successful customer experience.
• Maintain records of lost sales due to unavailability of parts.
• Maintain inventory on shelves and in bins by ordering items needed to be reordered; identifying any discrepancies in stock levels and returning unsold items to stock.

• Respond to sales calls and customer counter visits thoroughly and professionally.
• Utilize computer business systems and electronic catalogues to research parts information.
• Provide customer pricing and availability (in-stock or emergency order).
• Process parts invoices and obtain payment.
• Process returned items by inspecting items returning payment issuing credit re-shelving items and returning items to suppliers.
• Maintain an attractive retail display area.
• Enhance job knowledge by continually participating in online training modules and supplier training on new product features advantages and benefits.
• Manage customer requests for parts warranty and administer according to supplier procedures.
• Contact customers (telemarketing) regarding parts promotional opportunities.
• Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner when interacting with customers.

• Requisition non-stock or special-order parts. Follow up on special ordered items and notify the customer when received. Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit an emergency order if necessary.
• Assist in the shipment of products if needed.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to work independently without direct on-site supervision.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook.
• Heavy-duty truck aptitude.
• Strong organization communication and phone skills.

• Demonstrate exceptional sales customer service and time management skills.
• Ability to be extremely well organized resourceful and self-motivated.
• Ability to solve problems and make appropriate business decisions with little guidance.

Education and Experience

• High school graduate GED or 1 year of work experience.
• 1 year of direct customer facing sales experience preferred.
• 2 years of experience with heavy trucks preferred

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds at times without assistance.

• Bending lifting standing walking 50% of the time
• Sitting at a desk and working on a computer 50% of the time

Additional Job Information:

• Wage Expectations: $25.00 35.00 / hour
• Pay: This is a non-exempt hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
• Typical Schedule: Five (5) Eight (8) hour days M-F
• Location: On Site 20812 Broadway Ave; Snohomish WA 98296
• Travel: Very minimal to none
