The Role
We are seeking a technically proficient and partner-focused Channel Sales Engineer to drive the growth of our Threat Protection and Data Security solutions across the region. This role is instrumental in enabling our Channel Partners - including Resellers and Distributors - to effectively position sell and deploy Proofpoints cybersecurity offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Sales Engineering and a deep understanding of the channel ecosystem.
This role will be based in Sydney Australia.
Your day-to-day
Partner Enablement: Deliver impactful technical training sessions webinars and workshops
Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with partners on demos PoCs and solution architecture
Channel Development: Build and nurture strong relationships with key Channel Partners
Technical Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor on Proofpoints cybersecurity portfolio
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with sales marketing and product teams
Feedback & Product Improvement: Capture insights to inform product enhancements
Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends and competitive landscape
What You Bring To The Team
Proven Sales Engineering experience ideally within cybersecurity
Demonstrated success working with Resellers Distributors or Channel Partners
Strong understanding of email and cloud security
Deep expertise in Proofpoints data security platform including: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Insider Threat Management Information Protection and Regulatory Compliance
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving Key Skills
Cybersecurity Expertise: Email security cloud security and data security technologies
Channel Partner Engagement: Enablement relationship-building and strategic support
Technical Pre-Sales: Solution design PoCs and technical presentations
Training & Enablement: Ability to deliver impactful technical training and workshops
Communication: Clear articulation of complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Problem Solving: Analytical thinking and creative solution development
