The Role
Due to continued growth MCA Engineering is expanding its team to support a major 6 month project at a mine site in North West Queensland. We are currently seeking experienced personnel to fill multiple positions and encourage applications from both local residents and DIDO candidates. The roster is 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off day shift.
These roles will be responsible for a broad range of underground construction and services works including pump stations and pumps ventilation walls pipe installation and other associated underground infrastructure.
Positions available include:
- Supervisors
- Underground Servicemen
- Air Leg Miners
- Boilermakers
- Fitters
- IT Operators
- Formwork Concreters
Selection Criteria:
- Relevant Trade Qualifications or experience
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol testing.
- Experience in mining or construction industry preferable
- Underground Experience
- Experience working on a range of fabrication tasks (Boilermakers)
- Ability to work independently without supervision and also be part of a team
- Attention to detail and diligence for quality of work
- Proven ability to always adhere to safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment
