About the role
The Project Manager oversees cross-functional projects within the logistics and distribution network driving efficiency compliance and performance improvements. This role leads project planning execution and delivery while coordinating with internal teams vendors and third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in operations management supply chain logistics and process improvement methodologies
What youll do
- Lead end-to-end project management for operational initiatives across warehouse transportation and fulfillment functions.
- Coordinate with supply chain IT procurement and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement data-driven process improvement strategies.
- Track KPIs analyze performance metrics and deliver regular project updates to executive leadership.
- Ensure projects are completed on time within scope and within budget.
- Manage vendor and 3PL relationships for project-related activities.
- Oversee implementation of new technologies systems and automation processes in distribution centers.
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and regulatory requirements across all initiatives.
- Prepare documentation training materials and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to project rollouts.
- Support change management efforts and stakeholder communication throughout project lifecycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Logistics Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of project management experience in logistics distribution or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g. MS Project Smartsheet Asana).
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of WMS TMS and ERP systems.
- PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced high-volume distribution environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation transportation planning or e-commerce fulfillment is a plus.
