This role is part of Blue Origin Operations which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Test Operations Safety Quality and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As a subject matter expert (SME) you will contribute significantly to the development of innovative best practices and standards. You will be responsible for advancing techniques procedures and criteria essential for the successful release and verification of manufacturing processes. Your role will focus on leading specialized production initiatives ensuring that production schedules assembly execution and quality objectives are met across designated areas. You will collaborate with various teams such as R&D engineering and customer service to achieve safety efficiency quality and profitability goals.

As a key contributor to our team you will play a crucial role in reshaping the New Glenn manufacturing operations ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards and advancing our manufacturing processes. Youll establish strategic roadmaps implement innovative solutions and ensure our manufacturing areas achieve and maintain production rate targets. Your role will involve managing multiple projects with a focus on visual management across the site collaborating with teams to enhance safety quality delivery and cost performance.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development of a world-class manufacturing facility.
Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) and support Program Management Reviews (PMR) focused on cost schedule and quality.
Manage product line capital purchases and budget.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure project completion within schedule and budget constraints.
Drive the development of a factory visual workplace vision and roadmap.
Ensure project management and manufacturing operations have clear performance metrics.
Develop and leverage partnerships across organizations.
Serve as an influencer across the business.
Coach and mentor a world-class visual management team.
Develop capacity analysis methodologies to inform project prioritization.
Lead cross-functional teams in engineering design manufacturing logistics and other areas to achieve project delivery on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
8 years of experience in manufacturing or operations.
Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment.
Demonstrated experience with project management and a background in Lean and Six Sigma.
Experience in regulatory environments (AS9100).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong facilitation and influencing skills without direct authority.
Desired:
Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma.
