About the role
The Student Clubs and Senate Executive Officer will work collaboratively with other areas of the Learner Experience Office and across campuses to ensure effective communication with students about Senate programs Student Clubs Groups and Societies and broader Student Leadership activities and events.
You will:
coordinate the secretariat functions of the Student Senate including agenda and minutes;
promote Student Senate activities and outcomes to students and maximise student awareness of their representative body;
provide administrative support to the Student Clubs Groups and Societies;
support the marketing and promotion of the Student Clubs Program; and
provide event and project support to the Student Partnerships & Engagement team.
About you
Reporting to the Coordinator Student Leadership you will possess demonstrated innovation and problem solving skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
You will possess demonstrated
understanding of Student Senate purpose roles and responsibilities and broader student engagement services;
ability to provide attention to detail for all administrative and procedural support;
understanding of marketing and messaging directly to University students and staff.
awareness of and capacity to respond efficiently to stakeholder issues; and
analytical skills including the ability to prepare reports and make recommendations.
