The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Teardown Engineer to support our Product Analysis & Teardown Lab located in Berkeley MO. This position will focus on supporting the Enterprise Technology Office of the Boeing Technology Innovation business organization.

Position Responsibilities

• Lead/participate in physical part teardown analysis and cost modeling
• Engage with leaders stakeholders peers and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on teardown campaigns and associated projects
• Applies an interdisciplinary collaborative approach to plan design develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
• Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical functional and program interfaces
• Performs various analyses to optimize systems and/or system architecture
• Performs analyses for affordability safety reliability maintainability testability human systems integration survivability vulnerability susceptibility system security regulatory certification product assurance and other specialty quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
• Experience with optimal cost and how it enables programs to meet their affordability goals
• Work schedule flexibility to support international team members
• Experience working with McKinsey Cleansheet cost modeling software

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience in one or more of the following areas: structures systems interiors manufacturing avionics
• Cross functional experience working with global partners
• Experience with systems engineering; understanding the cost & design trades and current Boeing efforts in design practices model-based engineering and the digital thread
• Demonstrated ability to plan lead and oversee multiple projects and meet associated deliverable deadlines within assigned budget
