Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual and CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture repair and modify mechanical components such as shafts bushings sleeves keyways housings and fixtures
- Set up machining operations including tool selection work holding fixturing and alignment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings blueprints GD&T and technical specifications
- Machine components to close tolerances using precision measurement tools
- Perform troubleshooting repair and reassembly of industrial machinery following machining activities
- Conduct shaft repairs including turning threading keyway cutting and bearing journal restoration
- Use milling machines for slotting drilling boring face milling and contouring operations
- Perform precision measurement and inspection using micrometers calipers dial indicators height gauges and bore gauges
- Install and align machined components using laser alignment systems and dial indicators
- Maintain and calibrate machine tools cutting tools and measuring equipment
- Fabricate jigs fixtures and tooling to support maintenance and production requirements
- Maintain accurate machining and maintenance documentation including work orders and inspection records
- Comply with all safety environmental and quality standards including LOTO and machine guarding requirements
