Hours of Operation: 7:00 AM 5:30 PM
Pay Range: $2812 $3000 per week
Position Overview
We are seeking a Hospital Pharmacist (Level I) to support inpatient clinical pharmacy operations in a fast-paced hospital environment. The pharmacist will serve patients by preparing and dispensing medications providing pharmacological guidance to multidisciplinary healthcare teams and monitoring patient drug therapies to ensure safe and effective treatment outcomes.
This role requires strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills and hands-on experience with hospital pharmacy systems and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare verify and dispense medications accurately and in a timely manner
Provide pharmacological and therapeutic recommendations to physicians nurses and allied healthcare staff
Resolve questions related to formulary and non-formulary medications in accordance with established policies and procedures
Monitor patient drug therapies and adjust dosing based on patient age pharmacokinetics and current clinical literature
Educate patients on medication use including dosing instructions administration timing potential side effects and drug interactions
Perform IV compounding and support oncology-related pharmacy services as required
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) and automated dispensing systems to support medication management
Maintain compliance with hospital regulatory and departmental standards
Required Skills & Experience
Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge and attention to detail
Experience with EPIC EHR and Pyxis automated dispensing systems
Recent experience in oncology pharmacy
Recent experience with IV compounding
Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Education & Qualifications
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
02 years of experience as a licensed pharmacist
Active pharmacist license (state-specific requirements apply)
