Job Summary

MW Partners is currently seeking a Accountant to work for our client who is a global leader in the media and entertainment industry.

Responsibilities and duties:

Process payment requests by verifying contract terms and updating payment schedules accordingly for CBS Studios Development and Overhead
Review weekly payroll and timecard data to ensure accuracy and completeness for term deal employees
Code accounts payable transactions for term deal and overhead expenses securing necessary approvals and ensuring timely payments
Collaborate with HR and production teams to support term deal requirements and assist other studio departments as needed
Partner with Contract Administration to resolve vendor setup issues and support vendor onboarding and offboarding processes
Assist with month-end close activities related to Smart Accounting systems
Maintain accurate working files and documentation to support financial audits and reporting

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field
2 years of relevant experience in finance accounting or payroll operations preferably in the entertainment industry
Proficient in MS Office; experience with Oracle Smart View or Entertainment Partner system is a plus
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Self-motivated organized and able to manage multiple priorities
