The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies with more than 14000 employees. It is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through prevention protection and preparation as well as the care custody and supervision of all adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. This department includes state prisons with custody healthcare and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Other divisions include Administration Health Services Rehabilitation & Reentry Special Operations and the Post-Release Supervision & Parole Commission. We have a mission that matters!

Salary Range: $37782.00 - $66120.00
Salary Grade: NC08
To qualify for this position applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:
Ability to explain and interpret information to clients/customers and staff. Having considerable knowledge of program policies procedures and information systems to communicate and process information.
Ability to compile assimilate and organize both printed and electronic information; ability to apply knowledge of data collection storage organization manipulation and/or analysis of data.
Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet organizational needs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality identify and understand issues problems and opportunities; use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.
Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form; ability to adjust language or terminology to meet the needs of the audience; ability to use correct grammar organization and structure.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits

Must have a High School (HS) diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
