Job Summary

We are looking for a Service Owner to lead a major registries modernization initiative. This is a 1-year remote contract in Canada. The role focuses on delivering user-centric cloud-based digital services leading agile product teams modernizing legacy systems and improving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong experience in requirements gathering data analytics reporting and stakeholder engagement and thrives in Agile/Scrum environments.

Tasks

  1. End-to-End Service Delivery
  • Lead product teams through discovery design testing and implementation of digital services.
  • Redesign operational processes to enable new services.
  • Develop recommendations for changes as digitization occurs.
  • Identify barriers to change and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure quality assurance.
  • Set acceptance criteria and prioritize requirements based on business value risk and feasibility.
  1. User-Centric Research & Design
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels to identify and prioritize modernization opportunities.
  • Focus on improving client and employee experiences.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership and governance bodies.
  1. Legacy System Modernization
  • Support planning and roadmaps for sustainable digital services.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to deliver incremental improvements.
  • Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for replacing legacy systems.
  1. Agile & Digital Methodology
  • Champion Agile practices and digital delivery approaches.
  • Support status reporting on schedules progress costs and resources.
  • Lead product demonstrations for stakeholders and governance committees.
  1. Data Reporting & Analytics
  • Define data and analytics product vision aligned with business goals.
  • Prioritize features based on business value and data-driven insights.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories for analytics and engineering teams.
  • Identify key metrics KPIs and dashboards for monitoring performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Service Owner or Product Owner in digital service delivery.
  • Strong experience in Agile/Scrum frameworks (JIRA experience preferred).
  • Expertise in data analytics reporting and gap analysis.
  • Experience leading product teams and managing stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to modernize or replace legacy systems.
  • Strong problem-solving communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize requirements based on business value risk and feasibility.
  • Results-driven self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Understanding of complex policies regulations and standards as they relate to digital services.
